How I keep getting a great price on ground beef? (2025)
If you know how to shop, your stores, markdown days, etc you will have the same luck I do, I rarely pay more than $4.29 a lb and I live in a big city metro area. Amazon fresh, if you have the delivery option of this, often has their 3 pack ground beef on sale for $3.99 a lb so keep an eye out otherwise my local stores I can find it on special or markdown for this price. And I don't mean mystery tube meat, which is any part of the cow because that is technically still beef.
1. Ground Beef and Cabbage Skillet
A classic low-carb favorite. Sauté shredded cabbage with onion and garlic, then stir in seasoned ground beef. Finish with soy sauce or coconut aminos for a quick, hearty meal.
Another version you can try is polish seasoning. I found this one calleed Krakow Nights at Penzey Spice and it's great in this application. It has a neglgible amount of sugar but if you're super strict, check out the ingredients and mix up your own sans white sugar and sub with allulose.
2. Taco-Stuffed Avocados
Brown ground beef with taco seasoning, then spoon it into halved avocados. Top with sour cream, salsa, and cilantro for a fun low-carb twist on taco night. The healthy fat will keep you full all night.

1/2 c. ground up pork rinds
season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
Optional add 1/3 c. grated cheddar or parmesan
Shape into balls and bake at 375 for 25 mins or til brown and cooked through.

Cook ground beef with peppers, onions, and spices. Serve hot with shredded cheese, sour cream, or wrapped in low-carb tortillas.
